Dear people who say Damon is only a monster; this scene is the only proof I need to prove you wrong.
He walks into a room with a girl lying unconscious with fresh wounds and then he picks up a tube that is literally pumping her blood out of it, and he doesn’t even react to the fact he’s holding an open source to blood. He looks disgusted,worried and regretful. Because it’s hooked up to the girl he loves.
And that’s all that matters to him. What they’ve been doing to her while he’s gone, he knows in that very moment what a big mistake it was to leave her alone without any protection, and you can see in that flicker of emotion on his face, that he can’t believe what he’s let happen to her. Whereas it is nowhere near his fault, it’s in his nature to blame himself. That’s Damon. And it’s what makes him such an amazing person.
